Motion Design I have experience working in both the broadcast/television and agency/branding work. I bring influences from a wide area of influences to create unique perspectives.
I have over 17 years professional experience with After Effects. These days, I enjoy finding optimisations in the workflow using AE's essential graphics and scripting tools.
Lots of experience with other Adobe products: Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Lightroom and Premiere.
Lately I've been using Figma for design work especially when involving larger teams.
3D Graphics and CGI Most of my work is making 3D motion graphics for channel idents and branding.
Over 11 years of Cinema 4D experience.
Experience 3D modelling in Cinema 4D, detailed surfacing in Substance and rendering in Redshift, Arnold and Octane.
I also have a background in photography which helps my 3D work to be more relatable and grounded in reality.
Visual Effects I have lot of experience working VFX work in TV. Everything from making storyboards and animatics to VFX supervising at shoots, working with camera files, roundtripping to colourists and delivering in SDR and HDR while maintaining accurate colour workflows. My skills include:
Supervising VFX at shoots, making sure the images captures are optimal for working in post. Working with ARRI, Red and Sony cinema camera files.
Making 3D scans (photogrammetry), gaussian splats, capturing HDRI panoramas (for matching in camera lighting with CGI), scanning textures for CGI and 3D camera tracking.
2D and 3D compositing using After Effects and Blackmagic Fusion Pro.
Combining shoot plates with CGI elements and making them believable.
Photography With a few years of shooting gigs and events during uni, these days I mainly shoot photography for myself. As a avid-hiker with roots in Nepal, I enjoy combining hiking in the Himalayas with photography. Lately I have been diving into shooting and developing black and white film, with help from Sally-Anne Kerr, eventually the plan is be able to darkroom print my photos myself.
